Are your rising leaders performing below their potential?
Do you see a promise in them that could be nurtured into existence?
Strengths
Promising leaders have demonstrated strengths, such as…
✓ A clear talent and demonstrated high potential
✓ Readiness to share space with other talented team members
✓ A depth of humor, warmth, and humility in the workplace
✓ Imaginative ideas and a positive energy
Gaps
Promising leaders also have gaps, such as…
✓ They don’t feel comfortable ‘on stage.’ These individuals often hold back in expressing their opinions during key meetings, struggling to speak their minds. As a result, the quality of their work doesn’t yet reflect their potential to be seen as leaders.
✓ They haven’t built trust with other key players. While they excel within their immediate teams, they may find it challenging to reach out and build relationships beyond their familiar circles. This lack of connection within the organization’s key stakeholders can hinder their visibility and recognition as leaders.
✓ They aren’t applying their talent. Recognized for their particular skills or strengths, these individuals have the potential to be great assets. However, they haven’t yet demonstrated their capabilities consistently enough to be viewed as leaders in their areas of expertise.

What some of my clients have to say:
“I’ve loved every session. I’ve been able to pair this with starting work and that’s been a gift. I wish I had had coaching through my entire business school career. I think so many people would benefit from this. I am so grateful for this experience. I feel like I won the lottery.”
– Sarah P. | Rising Leader in Renewable Energy
“Just wanted to share with you that I have been promoted recently…and wanted to thank you for mentoring me on advocating for myself! This promotion is critical for the role I have been interviewing for.”
– Madhavi M. | Software Technology Senior Leader
“I had a wonderful experience being coached by Lindsay. As a young adult, I came to Lindsay with concerns about confidence, friendships, family relationships, time management, bad habits, you name it! Lindsay deeply listened with intuition and asked insightful and profound questions to help me see what was right in front of me the whole time. After working with Lindsay I’ve allowed myself to move past my fears and go after what I really want in life. My confidence is high, my relationships are strong, and my dreams are manifesting right before my eyes! If I can do it, anyone can do it. Thank you, Lindsay!”
- Tyler B. | Youth Development Entrepreneur
“Lindsay is a wonderful coach to work with. I came to Lindsay when I wanted to make a career switch. This switch was happening as I became a new mom, and Lindsay not only helped me find confidence in applying to different roles, but she also gave me great advice on being a working mom. Thank you Lindsay for always bringing a positive outlook and for being a great coach.”

Hi, I’m Lindsay.
As I write this note, I am on a train looking out at the Mississippi River. I’ve just come from a short trip to Chicago to kick off my sixth year as a coach at the University of Chicago. I’m in awe of the natural beauty of the Midwestern rivers, lakes, forests and prairies I’m passing and in awe of just being here to take it in.
I feel awe fairly often these days, but it wasn’t always this way. For much of my career, I was stuck behind a wall. Not a real wall, but it might as well have been. I felt stuck in a career that wasn’t a good fit. I was doing important work and doing it well, but I wasn’t feeling fulfilled. As I looked ahead to my future, I didn’t like what I saw, and I also couldn’t figure out how to make a change.
I had heard of coaching and thought it could help, but it felt too woo-woo. What was it, anyway? I resisted, feeling ashamed that I felt I needed some help that others didn’t seem to need. I was uncomfortable paying for something that no one else in my life had tried. Yet the idea of coaching continued to appeal to me.
After years of wondering about it, I finally gave it a try. And let’s just say it worked for me. I found a wonderful coach. She was talented and caring and for the first time, I felt like there were solutions to the particular challenges I was experiencing. Not only that, the solutions affected not just my work life but my entire life. To put it simply, working with a coach helped me unlearn some old habits of mind and redefine what mattered to me. It was both simple and completely life changing. That experience completely reshaped who I am and what I do, and set me on a more fulfilling track.
If you are wondering if coaching could help you, consider reaching out for a conversation. I’d be delighted to talk with you. Just set up a time for us to chat and let’s see what happens.
